GreenPeace strikes a campaign against Nestle !

Taking a stand !
I have been writing alot of hubs on animals and nature, the one thing about it is that I will never run out of articles to write about. This is a major problem and we all need to take a stand on this before it gets out of control.
Nestle is in so much trouble right now, they are being boycotted because of the palm oil that they use in there candy bars and other products. Green Peace is doing a great job on spreading the news, and taking a stand on Nestle,
The palm oil that they use comes from our beautiful rainforest's in Indonesia, they clear out the rain forest to plant palm trees for that precious commodity. Destroying everything in its wake and all for that mighty dollar. The company that you can thank for this is Sinar Mas. It is one of the largest logging business's in Indonesia, but I will tell you more about them later in the blog.
Greenpeace is doing what it can to setle this dispute, but now Nestle is saying it will take some time before this can transpire into what they need it to be. So anyway we will see what happens there. But all I can say is it better happen fast or else Nestle is going to have even bigger problems.
How does it affect our Environment ?
Well, to begin with, It destroys the trees which in turn affects the animals such as the orangutan that lives in the rain forest. One would think that they knew that for every action there is a reaction to what they are doing there. But chances are they just don't care and that's where Greenpeace comes in.
They do what they can for the worlds environment, Being a member, I back them on pretty much everything they do, I'm sure there will be times when I don't agree but I admire them for what they stand for.
When they clear out the rain forest, they kill absolutely everything that is there. In all there wisdom they are planting plantations of palm trees just so they can have that great palm oil that makes them so much money. But the repercussions from this is global and we have to do something to stop this idiocy before its to late.
Its not to much of a surprise that it affects global warming, it is estimated that 4 percent of the greenhouse gas emission comes from the destruction of the rain forest in Indonesia. I don't know what anybody else thinks but that percentage is huge as far as I'm concerned. As far as the animals go, its like anything else. When you destroy there habitat they will die off and more that likely be extinct before its all said and done.
Take a break have kit kat bar, Nestle you should be ashamed of yourself !
Let me tell you Nestle is not liking that slogan right now, they are in a heap of trouble and all they want to do is get Greenpeace off there back. Ever since this all started they been loosing alot of money and worst of all a bad rep which they certainly didn't need. Nestle is working with the logging company that is clearing out the rain forest and planting palm trees for the palm oil that they desperately need for there candy bars, mainly Kit Kat and Coffee Crisp.
The name of the logging company is Sinar Mas, its one if not the largest logging company's in the Indonesia rain forest. That's who Nestle is hooked up with at the moment and that where the problem lies at this time Greenpeace understands that Nestle needs this palm oil, but they want regulations on it so they know WHO its coming from and how much.
Right now Nestle said they just cant turn off where it comes from, and they will continue getting it from Sinar Mass who destroys the rain forest with out a thought. Greenpeace said they will stay on this problem until something changes. The longer they wait, the more money there loosing. So Nestle better get there act together now and find other ways of getting that palm oil
But this is a very important ingredient for there chocolate, so they are very reluctant about finding other suppliers for there product. So lets think twice and understand where this palm oil comes from, and what they have to do to the environment to get it. Lets not take a break with Nestle until this is resolved.
